Purchase Essential Oils

I use DoTerra Essential oils and do my best to be a conscientious buyer. I investigate the origin, sourcing, labor practices, quality control, and environmental effects of each oil I use in my practice. This is a big task! If you know of a reason I should not stock a particular brand or product, please feel free to let me know!

Always research to see if essential oils are pet-safe! Birds are particularly susceptible to products like essential oils, scented candles, and incense.

  • Cardamom Essential Oil (Guatemalan) – Said to aid with indigestion, gastrointestinal issues, and respiratory health. Cardamom is a frequent ingredient in chai tea, giving you a clue to its delicious scent. The cardamom plant is a Southeast Asian perennial and a member of the ginger family. Its fragrant seeds are used to make the essential oil. Cardamom essential oil has a similar chemical composition to those of Lavender, Roman Chamomile, and Clary Sage and also is known to be calming and soothing. Because of its associated digestive benefits, its associated with both the Sacral Chakra and Solar Plexus. *Risk of possible skin irritation. Many quality studies suggest multiple health benefits from cardamom.

DISCLAIMER: While essential oils may have anecdotal benefits, it should never be a substitute for necessary medical care. Wherever effective studies have been conducted as to an oil’s efficacy I will refer to that research. Although some may recommend ingesting essential oils, adding them to drinking water, or cooking water, I do not share that opinion. Not only do I advise AGAINST using essential oils internally, I also encourage everyone to never apply essential oil either directly to the skin or directly into a bath (oil and water notoriously don’t mix, research how to safely do this!) or Whether your concern is health-related or psychological, be sure to see qualified medical professionals. Nothing on this site is meant to be offered as medical advice. I, personally, also make a conscious effort to not mysticize Non-Western cultures.
