Laura Schofield is a Licensed Massage Therapist and ACE-Certified Personal Trainer with nine years experience in kinesiology and exercise science. Schofield has performed manual therapy in a variety of capacities. She’s worked onsite with active athletes / performers and crew, as well as assisted fragile clients in skilled nursing facilities. Schofield is dedicated to helping clients improve specific musculoskeletal conditions, along with their general health, through improved movement efficiency via functional and therapeutic exercise. Most recently, she studied at UIC for her BS in Kinesiology, having already completed a Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2019.
Laura Schofield is available at Hand and Stone Massage (Lakeview), Chicago House of Lashes (Bucktown), and for individual sessions or collaborative treatments under her brand ‘Mama Earth.’ She is available for private events and parties, with an established network of wellness professionals for large-scale bookings.
Schofield enjoys volunteering at marathons, 5ks, and blood drives. She assembled and managed massage teams backstage and in VIP areas of major Chicago music festivals and still receives calls from Chicago venues when traveling performers are in need of bodywork.
Schofield specializes in Sports / Deep Tissue Massage and Assisted Stretching. If deep tissue is not your preference, she is equally adept at relaxing Swedish full body massage, incorporating Hawaiian Lomi Lomi strokes and Craniosacral techniques.
